Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) grants provide eligible school districts the opportunity to implement projects to meet the academic needs of military-connected students in their community and applications which establish, improve, or expand world language programs targeting K-12 students.
Shaffer Evaluation Group has worked with LEAs nationwide to write DoWEA grants, prepare pro bono the evaluation plans for grant applications, and evaluate projects funded through the DoWEA Military Connected Academic Support Programs (MCASP) and World Language Advancement and Readiness Program (WLARP) awards. As of 2025, we have evaluated 30 DoDEA projects. Contact us for more information.
