Shaffer Evaluation Group is recruiting undergraduates from a variety of majors for a federally funded educational research project. Interested recruits will be trained to evaluate children’s computational thinking and coding skills using fun educational and coding games. No previous programming experience is necessary. All majors welcome. We will train you and all work is remote. State background checks for Massachusetts and Rhode Island will be required.

We are looking for undergraduate applicants who are:   

• reliable and respectful   

• have good interpersonal skills   

• enjoy working with 5- to 8-year-old children    

 

Tasks and Responsibilities include:   

• Working at least 8 (and up to 20) hours a week during peak assessment periods. Your schedule can be flexible and will take place during elementary school hours.

• Working over Zoom with children in our many research partner classrooms.

All Research Assistants will be paid $13.50/hour for the training and for the work with children.
