Project Based Learning, 2016-2021
SEG conducted a fidelity of implementation study, as well as a formative and summative evaluation, of the school district’s PBL initiative being implemented at the middle and high schools. SEG designed the evaluation plan, which included annual focus groups, lesson plan analysis, and program fidelity checklists. Evaluator's status reports are provided each semester for PCPS to use formatively to monitor program implementation, identify successes and challenges, and plan for next steps. Annual reports were generated and provided to the funder each year. The project was supported by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
STEM for All Projects, 2015-2020
SEG conducted a fidelity of implementation study, as well as a formative and summative evaluation, of the school district’s STEM initiative. Evaluation activities include an annual staff survey, focus groups, lesson plan review, and professional development observations. Evaluator's status reports were provided each semester for PCPS to use formatively to monitor program implementation, identify successes and challenges, and plan for next steps. Annual reports were generated and provided to the funder each year. The project was supported by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
Reading for All Projects, 2011-2015
SEG conducted a fidelity of implementation study, as well as a formative and summative evaluation, of the school district’s Reading for All initiative. SEG designed the evaluation plan, including a performance monitoring plan, and analyzed the program data each quarter, checking for fidelity to the program plan. Fidelity issues were discussed with the program director, and guidance provided on strategies to overcome these issues. SEG also provided technical assistance to the project director in program design, instrument development, project monitoring, and communications. The project was supported by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
