Ms. Hayden is a doctoral candidate at the University of Connecticut in Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent Development, where she earned a certificate in Program Evaluation. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Radford University, as well as a Gifted Education Certificate from William and Mary. As the site coordinator and research associate for the Javits funded project, Thinking Like Mathematicians: Challenging All Grade 3 Students, she experienced managing a federally funded grant. Stacy was employed as an external evaluator for Hartford Stage to evaluate educational programs. Prior to her doctoral work, Stacy was an elementary Talented and Gifted teacher for Alexandria City Public Schools and a fifth-grade teacher at Stafford County Public Schools (VA). Stacy has presented at international, national, and state conferences, and her research interests include equity, instructional strategies, and parent support.
