School-University Research Network, 2007-2018

SEG supported the School-University Research Network in the evaluation of several professional development initiatives for teachers and school administrators. Annual comprehensive evaluation studies were conducted using mixed methods, including program documentation review, training observations using an adaptation of the Local Systemic Change through Teacher Enhancement Professional Development Observation Protocol, prepared by Horizon Research, focus group discussions with a sample of teachers and administrators, year-end impact surveys of participants that assessed program satisfaction and the extent of school-level implementation, school-level case studies, analysis of classroom observation data on student engagement collected by participants, analysis of instructional audit data collected by College faculty, participant feedback, and analysis of state standardized test scores.
